My first record fair

So far, the majority of the records I've bought have come from people clearing out their house, looking to make a couple of quid if they can. So this weekend, I was happy to hear that there was actually a proper collectors' fair on as part of my village's summer fair. And to add a sprig of nostalgia, it was in the old church hall where they used to put on school discos when I was at primary school. Unfortunately, seeing as I grew  out of ODing on tuck shop sweets and slow dancing to Westlife around 10 years ago, the place is a little less exciting now.

Like the booters, there was a few stands selling for at a couple of quid (perfect) but there was also some proper traders who knew their records, and their worth. On the same day they were playing Glastonbury, I saw a Stones record priced at £80 and a copy of Led Zeppelin II at £40, which my dad has sat in the loft collecting dust.

Anyway, here's what I came back with:

Dead Ringer; another Meat Loaf/Jim Steinman number.

Andrew Ridgeley with hair and George Michael pouting. Some things change, some things don't.

After watching Nile Rodgers at Glasto on Friday, I wanted some Chic... and I got it.

Fun facts: ABC's Martin Fry was the keynote speaker at my graduation ceremony, lives in the same village and did the same course at uni as me. It'd be rude not to have it.

The Boss.

The Bush.

Not a bad haul for £20. Or is it? You tell me...
