Redhead Day UK

It's official. Not only do we have souls, but gingers now (the UK ones, anyway) have our very own day on the calendar. Yes, today is Redhead Day UK and the festivities are taking place right here in Manchester. Don't worry, I've got better things to do with my day than celebrating being ginger. After all, I like to think I do that every day...

Part of me feels like we ginners are getting spoiled a little. I mean, we already have both national and international versions of Hug a Ginger Day and Martin Luther King Jr. did a hell of a lot more for just the one...

So if you see a hoard of gingers marching towards you tomorrow, don't worry, it's not the apocalypse, it's factor 30 pride. Please respect the gingers and keep the jokes original - we've all been called Ron Weasley enough.

And remember, only a ginger can call another ginger, ginger (Tim Minchin knowledge required).
